When we collect Personal Information
|
|
|
|
When you browse this web site, you are able to do so anonymously. Although your browser automatically provides information about the type and operating system of your computer, LGOSystems does not collect personal information when you browse (not even your email address). Neither does LGOSystems use "cookies" to store information on your computer. Except for the normal recording of "hits" performed automatically by the web-server software, LGOSystems does not seek to track your activities as you move through this site.
In order to improve our service, LGOSystems may aggregate statistics about "hits" and share it with third parties. However, no statistical information will include anything which identifies you personally.
When you perform certain steps on this web site, such as ordering or purchasing products, downloading software, or asking for support services, LGOSystems may ask you to provide certain information about yourself.
LGOSystems will always explicitly ask you to provide personal information, either by typing it into a form or including it as part of an email. LGOSystems will not collect personal information from you through non-obvious means such as executing Java™ scripts which harvest information without your informed consent.
LGOSystems will not knowingly ask for or collect personal information from children. We ask all children using this site to obtain the consent of their parent or guardian before providing any personal information.
It is completely up to you whether you complete any steps that ask for personal information and how much information you choose to provide. Of course, if you choose to restrict the personal information that you supply, it may affect the level of service that LGOSystems is able to provide. For example, if you do not give us your email address, it will be difficult for us to provide effective support. Similarly, if you do not provide a credit card number when making a purchase, it is unlikely that you will be able to complete the transaction.
However, when you provide personal information to LGOSystems, you understand, accept and agree that we may transfer, store, and process your information as part of your customer profile.
This web site contains links to other sites. LGOSystems is not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of those other sites. In particular, please note that all purchases of LGOSystems products are handled through Kagi™. Kagi has a separate privacy policy which you are encouraged to read before making a purchase.

How we use Personal Information
|
|
|
|
LGOSystems collects your personal information information purely to facilitiate its ongoing relationship with you as its customer. For example, each time you purchase one of our products, we will record your serial number along with your personal information so as to establish your right to support and upgrade services.
Insofar as is practicable, all personal information will be stored securely with access restricted to only those people who have a genuine need to know.
LGOSystems recognises the importance of the responsible use of your personal information. All communications with you which are initiated by LGOSystems are strictly on an opt-in basis. If you choose not to opt-in, we will honour your request.
With your permission, we may occasionally email you with advice about upgrades, special offers and changes to support arrangements.
As noted elsewhere, purchases of LGOSystems products are handled through Kagi™. Kagi routinely provides LGOSystems with sufficient information to enable us to identify you as someone who has purchased a certain product (Kagi does not provide us with your credit card details).
Although LGOSystems does not routinely provide Kagi with personal information about customers, if it is necessary for us to do so in order to affect the outcome of a purchasing transaction, we will do so.
LGOSystems will not sell, share or otherwise provide personal information to any third parties not directly associated with a purchasing transaction. In the unlikely event that LGOSystems ever changes this aspect of its privacy policy, we undertake to email you before we do so and give you at least 30 days to inform us if you choose to have your information remain private (ie opt-out).
If we are going to use your personal information differently from that stated at the time of collection, we will try to contact you via email using the most recent information we have. If you have not given us permission to communicate with you, you will not be contacted nor will we use your personal information in a new manner.
LGOSystems will also comply with all applicable laws relating to disclosure of information. For example, if we are required to disclose your personal information to Law Enforcement officials, we will do so.

You have the right to view and correct your personal information and privacy preferences. You may obtain a copy of the personal information that we hold by sending an email to:
There is no specific form or template for you to follow but please remember to include sufficient information in your email to allow us to identify you correctly. In particular, please include the serial number of each product that you have purchased.
If you ask LGOSystems to remove all reference to you from its customer database, we will do so. However, once you have been removed from our customer database, you will lose any entitlements to support services or software upgrades. Therefore, before we process your request, we will ask you to confirm that you understand, accept and agree that such removal will cancel any and all such entitlements, irrevocably.
