CognatrixSearch is a search engine designed to be used with Cognatrix. It runs on Mac OS X 10.4 and later (Tiger) and helps your users to find terms published in your Cognatrix thesauri.
CognatrixSearch uses Apple’s SearchKit technology for both indexing and retrieval. SearchKit is built into every copy of Mac OS X and underpins many system services such as Spotlight. CognatrixSearch supports advanced features such as Boolean expressions and wild-cards, and is designed to handle multiple thesauri.
CognatrixSearch is implemented as a web CGI so you can easily incorporate a search field into any of your web pages. The search results produced by CognatrixSearch are built from templates which can be tailored to the look and feel of your web site.
