FrameSeer may ask you to provide the username and password of an administrator in the following situations:

During installation or upgrade

To perform setup operations (copying components into /Library/Application Support/LGOSystems/).

To perform self-repair

This may happen if you restore your system from backup but do not restore all of FrameSeer’s components correctly.

When you change security options

You need administrator permission to change any of the options in the Security tab of the Preferences window.

To obtain capture privileges

If you are not an administrator when you launch FrameSeer and the Any user who can authenticate as an administrator option is set in the Security tab of the Preferences window, you will be asked to provide the username and password of an administrator. The privileges granted when you do this remain in effect until you logout.
